Too many people get bogged down by the logistics of working a business like: accounting, building a website, writing a business plan, etc. that they lose their way and don't stay focused on the reason they started the business in the first place - to MAKE MORE MONEY! He was able to make good money part time, but man did he work his butt off! So, how much is your time and energy worth to you?
I know another guy who sells industrial supplies by day and has 5 other part time businesses running for him 24/7 on the internet. This guy works smart because he utilizes multiple streams of income. His day job pays a decent salary to live on, while his part time businesses, which are all automated, run by themselves. His part time businesses make him a healthy second income while he's working during the day and sleeping at night. This guy is making five times as much money, with a lot less time and effort, than the first guy. He has more time, energy, and money to play with and enjoy life.

Do you get the picture? Times are tough and people need to take control of their own destinies! A part-time home business is the perfect way to not only make more money, but have some fun in life for a change.
Now, that bit about starting five home businesses is all about creating multiple streams of income, so as to not only make more money, but get ahead of the game as well. Starting multiple home businesses that are easy to manage, require low maintenance, are easy to operate, with relatively low cost is a smart way to leverage your time into a lucrative income, while keeping your day job. Many part-time home businesses can be expanded into full-time; replacing your day job. Isn't that the whole idea? After all, with all of those raises you haven't been getting and the fact you love your job… right!? Stop me if I'm wrong. The ultimate goal is to walk away from your day job and cross over into the land of the free… financial freedom! Aaaaah… Can it really be done!? Yes it can and people are doing it everyday! Likewise, if you're a Lady Real Estate Agent, then you probably wouldn't want to start a part-time business working decorative concrete, either. Think about the business you're considering. Is it a good match for your personality?
5.) How motivated are you to start a part-time business from home? You need to be hungry… you need to have a never quit attitude… perseverance… stick-to-itiveness! A do-whatever-it-takes attitude… Whenever! These are the real traits that will make you successful. I once heard that there is no difference between the CEO of a successful corporation and a Homeless Person, except for their motivation and perseverance.
